Terms of use & legal notice
Last updated: 23 June 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at www.sunsetcapital.co.uk(the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is operated by Sunset Capital Partners UK Limited (“Sunset Capital”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17353561, registered office Merrieweathers, East Street, Mayfield, England, TN20 6RJ. You can contact us at angus@sunsetcapital.co.uk.
2. Information only — not advice
The content of the Site is provided for general information about Sunset Capital and our services. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice. Nothing on the Site is a personal recommendation or is tailored to your circumstances. You should obtain your own independent professional advice before acting on anything you read here.
3. No offer and no solicitation
Nothing on the Site constitutes, or should be construed as, an offer, invitation or inducement to buy, sell or subscribe for any securities, business or assets, or to enter into any transaction. Any engagement or transaction proceeds only on the basis of separately negotiated, signed documentation.
4. No advisory relationship
Your use of the Site, and any enquiry or correspondence you send us through it or by email, does not create any client, advisory, agency, fiduciary or other relationship between you and Sunset Capital, and gives rise to no duty of care on our part. We act for a client only under the terms of a signed engagement letter, and — consistent with how we work on transactions — where we are engaged, we act exclusively for our client and owe no duty to any other party.
5. Confidentiality of enquiries
We treat enquiries in confidence (see our Privacy Policy). However, please do not send us confidential or commercially sensitive information through the Site or by unsolicited email before we have a confidentiality agreement or engagement in place. Any information you send before then is sent at your own risk and does not place us under any obligation of confidence beyond that required by law, nor does it create any relationship of the kind described in section 4.
6. Accuracy and changes
We take reasonable care with the Site, but its content is provided “as is” and may be incomplete, out of date or subject to change. The Site may describe experience, sectors and capabilities in general or anonymised terms. We give no warranty that the content is accurate, complete or current, and we may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time without notice and without any obligation to update it.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, design, the Sunset Capital name, logo, brand elements, graphics and imagery — is owned by Sunset Capital or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property rights. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute, republish or exploit any part of the Site without our prior written consent.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sunset Capital, and its directors, officers, employees, agents and advisers, shall have no liability for any loss or damage — whether direct, indirect or consequential, and including loss of profit, business, goodwill or opportunity — arising from or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any reliance on its content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9. Availability
The Site is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we may restrict or suspend access at any time.
10. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We provide them for convenience only and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link does not imply our endorsement.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Site (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed; your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
